Integrative Mental Health Services

At Ayumind, mental health is not simply the absence of illness—but the presence of harmony, purpose, and connection in life. Our approach bridges the best of western psychological modalities with the profound and time-tested wisdom of Ayurvedic psychology.

We integrate traditional psychotherapy with Ayurvedic psychology, Holosomatic Breathwork and somatic healing practices to offer a multidimensional path toward deep and sustainable mental wellness.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, or seeking deeper self-awareness, our Integrative Mental Health Services support healing on all levels—body, mind, and spirit.

Our Approach

Mental health cannot be separated from physical health, lifestyle, nervous system regulation, and one’s sense of meaning and connection. Our integrative framework honors the whole person, considering constitutional imbalances (doṣas), mind-body patterns (guṇas), personal history, and spiritual orientation. Each treatment plan is tailored to your unique needs, drawing from:

  • Modern clinical psychology and evidence-based therapy modalities
  • Ayurvedic diagnostic principles and mind-body balancing techniques
  • Holosomatic Breathwork for deep emotional release and somatic integration

Nature-based and entheogenic approaches to healing in collaboration with trusted partners

Traditional Psychotherapy

In partnership with Heartland Wellness

For clients seeking evidence-based psychological care within a traditional framework, Ayumind partners with Heartland Wellness, a compassionate and experienced team of licensed mental health professionals. Services include:

  • Individual, couples, and family therapy
  • Trauma-informed care and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Mindfulness therapy, Person centered, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and more

This option provides continuity for clients who prefer or require conventional psychological services, with the option to integrate Ayurveda and somatic tools as appropriate.

Harm Reduction Assisted Psychotherapy and Integration

Harm Reduction Therapy is a client-centered, collaborative approach to working with substance use and other high-risk behaviors. Unlike traditional models that focus solely on abstinence, harm reduction therapy recognizes that change is not one-size-fits-all—and that healing happens in many different ways.

We understand that substance use often serves a purpose: it may soothe pain, help manage stress, or provide temporary relief from trauma. Rather than judging or labeling these behaviors, harm reduction explores them with curiosity and compassion. Our goal is not to force a specific outcome, but to support you in defining and reaching your own goals, whether that means safer use, reduced use, or eventual abstinence.

What You Can Expect:

  •   A non-judgmental space where your autonomy and choices are respected
  •   Help identifying what’s working—and what’s not—in your current relationship with substances
  •   Support exploring the emotional, relational, or situational reasons behind use
  •   Strategies to reduce risk and increase safety (e.g., safer use practices, coping tools, community supports)
  •   Optional abstinence planning, tapering, or preparation for treatment—if and when you’re ready

This approach draws on motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic techniques, and behavioral strategies. It can be especially supportive for people who have not felt comfortable in abstinence-only programs or who are navigating complex life challenges.

We believe everyone deserves care, no matter where they are on their journey.
